b-stock-el-guitar-stanley-sig-discolored-finish-on-body-does-not-match-headstock
Ibanez PS60SSL Paul Stanley Signature Iceman Electric Guitar Silver Sparkle B-Stock

The Star's Guitar, Iceman Style

Paul Stanley and Ibanez go back decades, and the PS60SSL is the most accessible entry point into that legacy. It's built around the iconic Iceman body shape — asymmetrical, dramatic, unmistakably KISS — and pairs that eye-catching silhouette with a solid poplar body and a gloss Silver Sparkle finish that catches light the way a stage rig catches a crowd. If you've ever watched footage of Stanley commanding a stage and thought "I want that guitar," this is the one.

Under all that flair, the PS60SSL is a genuinely playable rock machine. The slim PS-profile maple neck and 24.75" scale length make it comfortable whether you're grinding out power chords or working up the neck. The 43mm nut width sits in familiar territory for most players coming from a Les Paul-style instrument, and the 305mm (12") fretboard radius keeps bends clean without fretting out.

This is a B-Stock unit from our inventory, offered at a discount because of a finish inconsistency — see the condition details below for specifics. Specs and playability are the same as a new PS60SSL.

This item is a B-Stock guitar sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is new and has never been previously owned. The photos shown are of the exact instrument you will receive. Before shipment, our licensed technician will inspect and professionally set up the guitar to ensure it is playing its best. During our inspection, we noticed discolored finish on body does not match headstock, the body is more a champaign color. (see pictures) Please note, these may not be the only cosmetic imperfections. As a B-Stock instrument, there may be additional minor blemishes that are small in nature and do not affect playability or performance.

Body and Build

The PS60SSL is built on a solid poplar body in the distinctive PS/Iceman shape — a design that goes back to Paul Stanley's original collaboration with Ibanez in the late 1970s. Poplar is a light, resonant hardwood that delivers a balanced tone with enough presence for crunchy rock rhythm work. The gloss Silver Sparkle finish is applied over the full body and gives the guitar its signature shimmer.

Hardware is all chrome, centered around the Gibraltar Performer bridge and Quik Change III tailpiece. The Gibraltar Performer is a fixed, tune-o-matic-style bridge that provides solid intonation and sustain — and the Quik Change III tailpiece lives up to its name, making string swaps noticeably faster than a standard wrap-around.

Neck and Fretboard

The neck is maple with Ibanez's PS profile — a slim, comfortable shape that doesn't fight you on fast playing. It joins the body via a bolt-on connection, and the 24.75" scale length lands in classic "Gibson territory," meaning chord voicings feel a little easier and bends require slightly less effort than a longer Fender-scale instrument.

The bound Purpleheart fretboard carries white block inlays — a visual nod to vintage KISS-era aesthetics — and is finished to a 305mm (12") radius. Twenty-two medium frets give you plenty of range, and the 43mm nut keeps string spacing consistent all the way down.

Pickups and Electronics

Two Infinity R humbuckers (passive, ceramic) sit in the neck and bridge positions, wired to a 3-way pickup selector plus two individual volume knobs and one master tone control. Ceramic humbuckers in this configuration produce a direct, high-output character — tight on the bridge, fuller on the neck, and blended in the middle. They're voiced for rock and handle gain without going muddy.

The separate neck and bridge volume controls give you a bit more real-time flexibility than a single master volume would — you can preset each pickup's output level so rolling to either position gives you a consistent level without a big jump.

Product Features:

Body: Solid poplar in PS/Iceman shape with high-gloss Silver Sparkle finish

Neck: Maple with PS slim profile, bolt-on construction

Fretboard: Bound Purpleheart with white block inlays, 305mm (12") radius

Scale length: 628mm / 24.75"

Frets: 22 medium

Nut width: 43mm

Pickups: Dual Ibanez Infinity R humbuckers (passive/ceramic) — neck and bridge

Controls: 3-way pickup selector, individual neck and bridge volume knobs, master tone

Bridge: Gibraltar Performer bridge with Quik Change III tailpiece

Hardware finish: Chrome

Brand: Ibanez

Model: PS60SSL Paul Stanley Signature

SKU: PS60SSL-2ND|2Y03GS251004411

Condition: B-Stock

Since 1872, C.A.
